Solar Car Teams Set Records

The U-M solar car team sped to its fifth national championship in the 2008 North American Solar Challenge. The team traveled nearly 2,400 miles from Plano, Texas to Calgary, Alberta, finishing ten hours ahead of its nearest competitors. While the U-M team may make winning look easy, the 2007 video epilogue below shows that it takes a lot of patience and dedication.
